Trail running takes over Pohjanmaa

The Cup, a five race series, includes over 100 kilometers of the best forest trails in Northern Pohjanmaa. The Cup kicks off on the 11th of June in Sievi with a 17 km race. Next it goes to Raahe, on the 2nd of July, where the fast and flat 21 km Raahe Trail Run is an excellent race for those with less trail running experience. 13.8. it is time for the longest race of the series, a 27 km hilly challenge in Nivala, that will put even the more experienced runners to the test.  The fourth event in the Cup is a half marathon in Haapavesi on the 3rd of September. The second to last event of the Cup runs through through the hilly terrain of Korkatti.

The Cup concludes 17.9. with the Ylivieska Trail Run. The race features a 16 km race for adults and a 5 km race for junior runners. The best runners of the Cup will be awarded, scores are calculated using the same method as in the Buff Trail Tour Finland.

Each race in the Cup also features a 5-6 km route option for those who wish to try a shorter distance. You can find up to date information in the Pohjanmaa Trail Running Cup Facebook group . Links to the sign up for each race will be added to the event calendar as they open.
